MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF ASSESSORS
February 7, 2011

Members Present: Beverly Potvin Kenniston and James Dillon


     1.  Acceptance of Minutes

Motion was made by Beverly Kenniston and seconded by Jim Dillon.  It was voted to approve the minutes of January 24, 2011.

      2.   Real Estate Abatement Applications

The Board of Assessors reviewed real estate abatements.  Abatements were granted to the following properties:

Map 204, Parcel 2, Paxton Line, revised assessment $113,800
Map 226, Parcel 74, 17 Fairhill Road, revised assessment $152,100
Map 197, Parcel 70, 31 Putnam Road, revised assessment $260,100
Map 43, Parcel 4, 20 North Street, revised assessment $457,800
Map 210, Parcel 516, 31 Blossom Square, revised assessment $343,200

Real estate abatements were denied on the following properties:

Map 159, Parcel 29, 42 Laurelwood Road
Map 215, Parcel 168, 27 Larkspur Road
Map 225, Parcel 20, 63 Plymouth Road
Map 210, Parcel 567, 160 Fireside Lane

Personal Property abatement granted to Restaurant Technologies, Inc.

  • Supplemental Tax on New Construction
The Supplemental Tax on New Construction (Hopkinton Bill) will be completed in the month of February.  Information should be ready for the March assessors’ meeting.



  • State Owned Land New Acquisitions
State Owned land acquisitions were reviewed.  The assessors’ signed off on the reimbursement of State owned land database sheet.  The Principal Assessor will update the spreadsheet values and forward the information and property record cards to the Bureau of Local Assessment.

Next meeting will be held on Monday, March 14, 2011 at 3:00 P.M.
